A precaution on using shaping products including corsets, now called waist trainers and from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) no less: Waist trainers are getting women bent out of shape; ‘my insides felt crushed from the moment I put it on’ im-22432 Quote: “Unlike a girdle or a pair of Spanx, which are worn for temporary smoothness, these trainers are often touted as weight-loss aids that will trim and shape the waist if worn throughout the day or while exercising. Fitness experts have doubts about…

Everybody's been complaining about weight these days, so maybe investigate another plan of fabrication. Rather than use the actual 3D printed product which has some dimensional thickness and density as the wearable, use it instead as a model and vacuum draw a formable sheet (high impact polystyrene sheeting (HIPS), say......) and fabricate the mask from that. Even if you have to glue/weld a couple of sections together because of draw issues, I imagine the finished product would be lighter and le…

Now, here's a lil' chart and don't let it freak you out: waist-hip-ratio.jpg If you're really skinny, (being tall also helps) confident and a skilled cosplayer, you don't have to worry about WHR. Okay, this is lzzrd's deep psychological moment (and all this is un-PC as crazy, so bear with me)....... Humans are a sexually dimorphic species and the net physical consequenses of these, besides greater male upper body strength is that females have a lower centre of gravity..... and are generally smaller and lighter...... Now as Cecilia and Miss Kiki tells us, there is little that can be done besides keeping BMI low and padding, but there's the psychological projection of female and that's eff…

The complete self is male and female combined and there are two ways to go about it. To make that completion through the body of another person, or to try to achieve that union within yourself. This goes back to like, forever, so there's nothing singular about it........ No, you are probably not exceptional enough to be 'weird', no need to worry about that. When you say you are 'weird' it often relates to someone making you feel 'weird' or off model somehow. People often fear they are incomplete…

Quote from "Dottore": “Are all the characters based upon established characters from anime? Or can performers create their own? I haven't sat down and watched much anime as of yet, but I'm working on it. My friend suggested one called Madoka Magica (spelling?) and I have it queued up on Netflix...just need to watch it.” Just thinking of your Pedrolino approach and a certain comic actor comes to mind. Now his character is a mime performer with his mouth taped, and for a kig to do that who doesn't…

Quote from Dottore: “ Are there any established characters who are butlers? Anime with a butler character? My idea for a character is much like commedia's Pedrolino, typically a silent servant, with a bit of the costume style of Dottore. A bumbling servant/butler type of character. I understand that speaking while in character is taboo, so I'm actually excited to try the concept using only movement and gesture. I'm not against a maid character, but since I'm tall and broad-shouldered, I would be…
