I'm working on padding for the first time. This is the first time working with foam and I kinda want some feedback on if I should keep going and start sanding and hallowing or should I start over. I have enough foam to start over but only one more time. Please be gentle. Heya! I'm the kinda person who loves listening to podcast while I work, to sleep to or sometimes just to pass the time. Believe it or not, I have burned through a lot of long running podcasts and could use some suggestions for new ones. The ones I have already gone through are: Adam Ruins Everything Alice Isn't Dead Bed Time With Babish Dude Soup Filmhaus My Brother, My Brother and Me (Really suggest this one for comedy) Story Break The Adventure Zone Welcome To Night Vale Within The Wires

The nice thing about a lot of anime is that costumes sometimes find their cycle in other series. The Sailor outfit can be reused for a long list of other colors and that is just the classic blue and white. I was wondering if anyone could help me find a pair of loafers. (I think that is what they are called.) Its the brown pair of shoes that you see a lot of school characters wear, typically girls. They don't have to exactly be those but the general shape and color. I don't know if it helps but I…

My general idea is to have the school uniform and maybe her costumed gloves. I can't go whole invisible, which is where I figure the green screen suit would at least hint to other people who I am cosplaying. The convention I want to go do dose not allow signs, otherwise I would bring one. I plan to wear most of the outer wear on the outside of the green screen suit. Looking like I have to go shopping form my first bra.

Hey there, I know its been a long while since I posted anything or have been that active. School kinda makes me turn my blinders on. So, over the holiday my friend got me one of those green morph suits. While I slowly add to the Kig fund, I figure this would be a good excuse to start working on the padding. I know there is already a wonderful guide for the body padding but I sorta have an issue where I have a pretty large Adams Apple. I know a lot of the Kig Masks cover that part but I see some …

Hey Guys and Gals, Its long time no post and all. School and everything has been sorta a toss in the air right now. Which dose bring some good news. In the long while I have been here I have managed to save enough money for some Kigging. I will soon have a place with a bit more space and a bit more privacy. Which means I can start working on foam padding, which I have a feeling will be a lot of trial and error until I get the right sizes. So all and all that is some progress and I am thinking of…

Thinking back about fanime 2016, if you were there then you may have noticed that blue sweater, fuzzy slipper wearing skeleton that was a very popular cosplay play this year. When I saw them, it kind reminded me of Kigs. Considering for the most part they kept their "heads" (Most of the time full head) on at all times, often wore white spandex body suits and stayed in character throughout all interactions I had seen them. One of them had a really cool light up eye. I was wondering if you would c…

1748-7743c55b-large.jpg1749-00e8ff0a.jpgPhotos I took while at Fanime. These are amazing and I can't wait until I get enough cash to get one of my own. (Just to note: I only took the pictures. I did not wear, make or even handle the person in this cosplay.)

Fanime is my main con I go to. I love the cosplayers and unfortunately line was real this year. Aside from that I saw someone in full kig for the first time. I am pretty sure there was more than one. I think I saw two but I only managed to get a picture of the same person. Lets just say the show floor is a hassle to get a picture and I try to get pictures away where I can create traffic. I was wondering if this person was on this site and if it was alright if I uploaded the pictures onto here. B…

Hey Miss. Kiki Nice to see this old thread had a moment of boom. So far so good. I hope your doing alright at the very least. School and all that junk makes it hard to have a little fun. I have to agree on the making your own padding. I tried to but some padded panties and results were less than kind. I could see that they were sorta ments to be more subtle than I liked it to be. I have a stick of a body and would prefer some more exaggerated curves. I'm at least making some progress piece by pi…

I loved the music. I sorta peeked around Bad Apple. Played a few of their games but it sorta dropped off the radar for me. Still a huge Chiruno fan.

Not to rain on anyone parade, but as someone who works at the movies I highly suggest against Kig's at the movie theaters. At Anime Conventions and such there is already a level of acceptance that might allow for something like that but at your run of the mill mom-and-pop theater to the larger chains like AMC there is a completely different vibe. I know there are some places that allow for people to come dressed in fursuit for Zootopia but I am sure that they had to talk to a manager and had to …

After looking at a few places I was thinking of going with GKO for getting the body suit. Getting it in pieces is the best option for me right now but on their site I see they have sorta two kinds for sale and sorta need some advice as a first time buyer. Since this if for the first one I am not sure if I should go all out on everything or if this is something I can buy first then as I get more into it upgrade to something better. The Pros and Cons are what I think an see as I compare the two. G…

I know this is a little strange to ask about the padding but any advice for those with very little to no workspace. When it comes to available workspace I am lucky to have anything more than about a 36 in by 52 in space.

With the new year just around the corner, I was wondering what should I save up for fist. I think it would be better to tackle this thing piece by piece rather than trying to get at this all at once. So, I need a little bit of advice on what to buy first. Should I buy the padding first. Should I buy the suit first with rough estimates of how I want the padding to work under it? Should I get the mask or even the costume first? I do have a character in mind already, it is Princess Peach. Mostly be…

I enjoy sewing but don't really have the confidence for clothes but cosplay calls for clothes. Typically I can do pants but starting to work with tops. Other than that, I play dota 2 all day everyday and trying to learn how to draw.

I was wondering how stretchy the body suits are typically? By which I mean how much leeway do I have until the illusion is broken. I wanna get some padding but I am really tempted to just get the suit first and then squeeze the padding in. Is that a feasible option? I mean in the long run that mean I can add more or less padding if there is a lot of stretch (without the threat of tearing.) but if its typically settling around the same size I order then might just bit the bullet and make sure the…

As a newbie with no reference point I feel maybe a tier system would be the best option. Just the suit and the mast for a thousand seems like what a good going rate but maybe one with the padding ,suit and mask for two hundred dollars more could be enticing. The full package would have to depend on the character but a simple character for for like 1,300 makes the best starter kit.

I was wondering how are you suppose to store your costume. It is certainly don't wanna leave your mask on the floor or get your suit stuck on something. I also see people have stands for their mask to stand on. I was wondering what did they use for those and is it just custom made or something you can buy. As a bonus note, how do you store it when company is around. I live in a rather crowded house but when I am off on my own. I think storage options will be more open.
