I've moved back in with my family after a semester away and they don't know I'm a kigurumi performer. I want to tell them but I'm not sure how to approach it and I'm frankly worried that they may associate it with he furry community which they don't like very much.(No offence to anyone that may be reading this. Love you work.) The sooner I tell them the better so I can avoid an awkward situation where they see me suit up or find me wearing it around the house.

How to wash your RTPS hadatai

Is there a difference in the materials used between zetaitime and RTPS? I have to hand wash mine in cold water. I've also heard that a salt bath helps with something but I'm not sure what due to the tutorial being in Japanese...

I was washing my hada and noticed that there were black marks on the bottom of my feet and on my fingertips as well as a bit of fraying on the fingers. Is there an easy way to get rid of the spots and repair the fingers?

I don't know if I can consider my current mask a proof of concept but I'm able to swap out my eyes with tape. The wig isn't attached ether so I'm essentially able to make a few different pokemon characters due to the fact that they have the same facial structure. I've managed to pull off Dawn and Serena and soon Nurse Joy once I get the wig for it. The final version should use magnets to attach the eyebrows, eyes, ears? and different mouths but I don't have the resources, funds, or equipment to …

I was doing some maintenance on my mask and was wondering is they could be made to be modular. What I mean is what if you could swap out the eyebrows and eyes to make a different mask without having to make a new one granted that they have the same eye shape?

Well I found the rules. It honestly doesn’t sound too bad. Not to mention that I have a roommate that could keep an eye on me in case something does go wrong. 24-Hour Kig Challenge

  • User Avatar

I was just wondering what is the longest amount time that you guys have spent in kig? I'm trying to build up my endurance so I can take on the 24 hr challenge but I can only last about 30 min. before the humidity inside the mask gets to me.

I don’t know what the filament was that was used. The filament spool was unlabeled and super glue doesn’t stick to it very well. It isn’t reacting to acetone ether. Looks like I’ve got a mystery substance to deal with.

I don't have any supplies to fuse 3d prints together (Hence why my mask doesn't have ears at the moment). So my only option is to print the mask in one piece for now. The only thing that I may have to change is the eyes because 4 layers of mesh is a little much and the paint job that I did on the eyelashes and eyebrows. Maybe watercolor wasn't the best choice to use on crystalline silica based paint and I'm not an artist so free-handing it probably wasn't a good idea ether.

@Helenako Chan I's actually a perfect fit. I may have to add some foam to the inside because there are some sharp edges from printing supports but I don't see any need to make any tweeks to the model.

It’s fine. I gained some experience and I just have to start over on the mask. It actually doesn’t look that bad with the wig. I’m actually quite pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt even if it is kind of scary looking with the crack created by the shifted layer. I've uploaded a picture to my Sta.sh for DA sta.sh/01hqhagw7pul The mask's model was made by @Helenako Chan. I am truly thankful for it because of all the errors that the template was giving me.

It honestly is kind of scary painted so I might keep it as some kind of horror kigurumi to use around Halloween. I’ll print another one soon but it will have to wait until my printer is fixed.

  • User Avatar

Something went wrong with the print and the top layer shifted. I’m still going to paint it to get a feeling of how it could have gone but I‘ll probably make a new one unless I can figure out how to move it over.

  • User Avatar

@BritKig Well the wig still needs major work. I’ll probably do that as I wait. Just need to figure out how to get the prestyled curls out of it since I can’t use an iron on it.

  • User Avatar

Just started the print. It should be done by 11 tomorrow night. It will be done by Thursday. Now I just have to style the wig.

Tough choice. I just went with what seemed closer to a traditional maid uniform over something overly sexy if that makes sense. Guess I know what alt outfit for Dawn I’m getting though probably not a latex one.

Thanks @Helenako Chan. You really didn’t have to do that for me. I may have to adjust a few things but I'll see when I print it. 1 day 14 hours.

Well that explains the errors that Replicator G was talking about. Strangely enough Makerbot Print said everything was fine but there were these strange spikes coming from the top where the vents were. My guess is that that’s where the Boolean modifier was even after I cut out the top and back to make it a half shell. I had to upscale it because the model is only two cm long. Now I just have to wait for the printer to finish. Mine is broken so I have to use a community one at my workpl

  • User Avatar

@cici Believe me, I will. I'm already past the point of no return. After months of planing and work it would be a waste if I didn't finish it. It should be done by this Wednesday. I'll have some pictures up by Thursday.

I have a link to where I got the model template from in my other thread but here you go. @Helenako Chan makerware.thingiverse.com/thing:2573714 I'm still relatively new to blender outside of making basic models for Garry's Mod and Source Engine by extension. I had no idea it could do that.
