Do not boil your Hadatai. Heat will kill the lycra! Repeated washing in regular laundry detergent will fade it slightly. Using a non-chlorine bleach (like Oxyclean) will help a little as well, but it is still a gamble to hope it will fade to the colour that will match your mask. Colour matching is one of the big issues with Gurglelove. I had the same problem with the mask I purchased from them not matching any "standard" hadatai colours.

I'm impressed.... and really jealous of your waistline. The shape is really good -- so curvy -- the only critique is the transition from pad to "real you". That could easily be improved with more feathering of the edges.. or some really tight shapewear or multiple layers of hosiery. However, unless you are an encasement type (I'm not) that really is a lot of work and in some cases discomfort/heat/inconvenience/etc. that could be avoided by just being more precise with pad shaping.

I have used both Lysol wipes and Lysol spray on the inside of masks to clean pads just wash them out like you would a sponge and let them dry well. but remember the padding placement or you may not get the same "fit" as you had before.

Get a tripod/ light stand and put the mask on that. if it's tall enough you can put your cosplay on hangers and hang it directly under the mask in the proper configuration. I think a mannequin would be great to use, but usually they have a peg that needs to go through a pant leg, under a shirt in the back or through the sole of a foot to support it which would require putting a hole in your hadatai, but i don't see why you can't just display the hadatai separately.

Ivory bar soap bar for cleaning blackened hands. either rub it directly on the fabric under running water or in the case of Hadatai put the gloves on and wash your hands with the bar soap like you would wash your own hands. You could do the same for your feet too but I usually wear slippers so my feet don't really get all that dirty. As far as the rest of the suit you can use Woolite or something similar used for delicate clothing. Soaking probably won't do any real damage since the fibres are p…

My server (Neko's Litterbox) is not the "Official Kigurumi Online" discord. It was created to be part of the social network for me to communicate with my Twitch viewers off-stream - Character to Viewer and not specifically Kig to Kig (although may viewers are Kigs) If there was a Chat/Discord for Kig-O the AN-WW Discord would be better suited for intra-kig socialization but that Server was primarily created as a way to coordinate and plan for the AnimeNorth - Western Wasshoi Event. If Kigs do wi…

The trick to using a "green screen" is to get it as wrinkle free as possible and light it so it is even with no shadows. Make it as easy for the software to pick out a single "wavelength". If you can set it up properly then it will work really well

Quote from BritKig: “ Oh, @Neko-Nico, I caught the tail-end of your Twitch stream yesterday, it was entertaining. Too bad a really sour egg turned up to the party as well.” All Twitch streams get Trolls.. you just need to get thick skin and roll with it. I'm going to start streaming regularly because it really does seem to bring a decent amount of positive interest to the Kig community. I can't wait to see you all put together and see you in the Kig-o Kageshi Room

I wanna get a cosplay ready for Anime North next year, but I also pay attention to character height and build to make it as close as possible” I recently met a person in Toronto that made me a Shrine Maiden Dress that was quite nice. I could give you their Twitter contact if you wish. Just tell them Neko sent you. Message me if you want the contact...

I wander off alone at cons all the time... Some masks are really well designed and vision is nearly as good as without a mask. Others are very vision limited. But if you can see comfortably usually there are no issues wandering off by yourself. Really it comes down to the comfort level of the performer. I find that sometimes with a handler I actually get slowed down or mislead into tripping up. ie: The handler sees a step I could have easily avoided and tries to steer me around it, but in the pr…

why does one need to apply these labels? and just reading the "guidelines" and/or definitions .... the best word i have heard in a long time for this is "simulacrum" . People that try to define "what type of kig" or "how one should kig " but have never had the actual "kig experience" and the result seems to be "simulacrum" - an unsatisfactory representation or imitation of a person or thing... the interpretation of what kig is flawed yet one tries to project the limited knowledge onto others wit…

You could just open source your map cloud. If you are willing and able to do that then I'm sure many of the kigs will self-moderate it just like Wikipedia.
