Quote from besenwes: “So I contacted 42agent. They are really supportive, however it's very hard for me, because I cant access the Taobao-Site anymore. I always get redirected to the login site, but as far as I see it, you cant sign up there outside China. In Order that they can buy for me I would net to know exactly what I want, but as said, cant see the item page and since today even the category page is blocked now. Another thing: 42 Agent send me a screenshot of the item-Detail Page I had pr…

Quote from besenwes: “So, to go via 42agent ist no option anymore, then?” I can't say for certain, as it's been a long time since I last used their service and to what manner of changes they've made since, but if you know the URL is correct, pasting it in should work; if it does not, then it means that 42agent website itself can't access it directly for the same reason. What I would do in this case is to contact them via email or form and maybe they might have a workaround.

Quote from besenwes: “I am directly redirected to the login Site instead of the product / item page. Am I doing something wrong?” No, you're not doing it wrong, but some merchant sites now require a Taobao login; following that link, even without the bits after the query question mark results in the same.

Quote from Dollizelle: “Quote from BritKig: “In regards to glasses, it should be possible, but the legs may scrape the rim of the mask. Also, I would recommend getting lenses that have had anti-fogging treatment if you have the option for that. (I do have to wear mine all the time.)” I’ve actually never heard of a anti fogging glasses or anything like that I’m definitely gonna look into it cause even outside of kig that sounds extra helpful. Thank you for suggesting it <3!!” Speak to your optici…

@'Ren', if you have a gripe on something, the most sensible thing to do is to try and resolve it discreetly with Neko. Based on your chosen words, it looks like you didn't even attempt this and went straight for the nearest megaphone. I'm not being funny here when I say this, but creating a stir in this blaring manner, causes issues on a far-wider reach, and our community is already heavily-strained through six years of misinformation. I'll have you know that I was subject of a campaign of misin…

Quote from Orange: “Ah, OK, what would be your reccomendation?” As mentioned earlier, a portable USB power bank with at least a rating of 2,000mAh, and solder the power wires of the fans to a USB power connector. Both these are easy to source. Doing it this way will make it easier to swap packs if one runs dry sooner than intended, also for example if you were out at a convention or event etc, you're spending less time faffing around getting that sorted.

Quote from Orange: “My plan is to use some Ni-Mh cells in a AAA format to the required size, as I am used to working with these already and have the correct charging equipment. I will probably use a MOLEX or JST plug and run it through a small switch to act as an isolator, and to be conveniently located to turn it on/off as necessary. I may get 2 sets of batteries that could be swapped out as needed or in an emergency.” I don't think NI-MH batteries, more-so in AAA size, will give the voltage an…

Quote from Orange: “Thanks Brit, I was seeing if I could re-use an old fan off a 3d-printer, but it is pretty noisy. I will probably get something cheap off EBay, or an old PC.” One thing you can consider, is getting some USB plugs. Doing it that way will make using rechargeable battery packs more practical, as they come in varying capacities (the smallest I have is 2,400mAh, and the largest being 50,000mAh) and you can easily swap between them. To help you with calculating approximate runtime o…

Quote from Orange: “I am also consiidering this, and will have a spare 4010 blower to achieve this. However, the fan runs on 24v, which will require quite a bulky supply. Would it be worth simply investing in a lower voltage fan?” I would say yes, because you won't get a big battery in any meaningfully-sized mask. You could go with a 12v and undervolt that with a 5v battery pack as opposed to running a 5v fan at full power; I would check any specsheets for a "starting voltage". But when it comes…

Quote from TimmyBoot: “Well now I've gotta keep this short because I don't want to write all that again. Basically, chatting with you guys has already meant a lot to me--thanks. I'm a grad student, and I'm going to be busy over the next few days, so I apologize in advance if I can't write as much as I was over the past few days. I'll be way more free after that though. I figure the best way to get to know each other and capitalize on finding each other is comparing some basic information to see …

Looking for - Vetted Custom Cosplay Makers (Suggestions)
BritKig - - For Sale & Wanted (Kigurumi, Cosplay and Anime related)
PostThere aren't really any "vetted" outfit makers. But one I can suggest is CosplayFu. There are others like them out there, but some may not offer the same options than others. If you could specify a budget (in USD), you may get better answers. But, it all boils down to the design complexity and fabrics used.

From what I'm seeing, they are a reseller; so they will be certainly selling other makers' products but also as a marked-up price (typically but not limited to shipping costs). What I would do is to look for any logos and search for the maker by name; might save a bit of money to go to the maker as direct as possible.
