Quote from Buff55: “I was planning on imposing my body over a picture of my character to calculate the padding. Is this effective?” Proportions is very important noting that we're attempting to mimic a certain character build while working with what we have as our own body type. What you're thinking of doing to mimic is a good direction.

Suggestion from a maker's stand point. Punch out the eye sockets to facilitate rear mounting the eyes. You'll have more options for viewports as well as graphic design of the eyes themselves.

    Alternatives to corset?

    cici - - Construction Discussion

    Post

Corsets work because of their supporting "bones" to give a consistent curve @Buff55 I'm sure a wrap will smooth out some areas but without a supporting element I hesitate to say the resulting effect to be dubious. Ne reason why you shouldn't give it a try though!! Ask questions, this site is for questions.

Quote from DreamRemena: “ There's also sun-bleaching where you leave your fabrics out in bright sun. I've heard this can turn bright colors more muted and pastel but I've never tried this method myself (also kind of pointless if the weather is cloudy-) ” This suggestion scares me @DreamRemena I would fear the UV rays would start to breakdown the lycra's elasticity.

I do feel your pain on this one. As you already have mentioned, chemicals and lycra don't mix, so lightening through a chemical process will more than likely destroy the elasticity of the material. I do know that with age of any material it will naturally lighten with washing cycles. I've held your mask this past May noting the flesh tone is a shade or two off what MWF sells. You might try going to other way by purchasing a white hadatai a dying it. Of course there may be others here in the foru…

Hey congratulations! The hard parts done, now the fun starts.

Keep going, looking great! Bumm pads can always be separate. I use different shapes and sizes depending on the character and waht she's wearing at the time.

Hey Great questions, I have a few answers Padding for the most part is created by the "user" due to for one thing cost. I know their there are a few sites out there that sell various types of pads made from an array of different materials but, you're going to pay to play. My studio did at one time make custom pads but found that the cost of materials vs labor costs were substantially higher than the market could bare so we seissed production. However we did create a DIY here ---> The Ultimate Gu…

Hey! Great first run. It took my a few runs to tweak mine to what they are now but you've got a real head start. Take a look at the ride image. I extended the pad a tiny bit down towards the knee to break the severe curve/transition between the thigh and knee. kigurumionline.org/index.php/A…1598acaaa992faeef5e60109d Something to think about for your next run through. The thought of making new right now would be overwhelming (well at least for me). Keep up the good work and never lose the magic!
