I am cursed with the fact that I have poor eyesight and I medically can't wear contacts. Has anyone ever worn glasses under their mask? If they have what can I do to accommodate for them without changing my mask's dimensions?
I do have to wear mine underneath Irina.
So far the best solution I can come up with is to focus the inner padding above ear level, above the legs of your glasses.
The hadatai may be the tricky part because I have found that some open-faced suits may eventually start pushing down and cause the nose pads to start breaking skin layers in the nasal area.
I tried combatting this by going with hadatais with eye-and-mouth-only openings; it worked...until the suit started sinking downwards over my eyes, blinding me completely.
It’s a difficult one to address, but I hope my experiences may help.
I 3d printed my first mask (see avatar) with only just room to get my glasses on underneath. But then I put foam and padding inside and they no longer fit But even if they did the visibility through the little slits in the eyelash is terrible. Also when I was designing it I thought I wanted it as close to my face as possible to not look "Odd"... Until I wore it and realised I need some space for my breath to escape to stop it being to stuffy.
Plan for MKII is for open back mounted eyes, improved chin area, better ventilation and fully glasses compatible so I could possibly wear in in public. I'm going to make sure the opening is wide enough for my specs and the padding doesn't get in the way and theirs enough air flow around my mouth and nose. This will probably take a few test prints to get it right.
I too use glasses under mask, to see properly further. Problem is they need to set properly, or they get misty from breath. So you need some space for glasses, and bit fiddling when putting mask on.
Nanako is a half mask so i don't have any issue to wear my glasses with her
