Quote from Menhera-tan: “While it's not inherently wrong, I don't think it's a good idea to say "kigurumi=cosplay" as it implies that everyone has to dressup as a pre-existing character, and the hobby is way more multifaceted than that with many people simply using it as a form of self-expression (similar as for why people use fursuits), so not everyone "acts" as a character. ” red pilled and based.

    Resin Printing a Mask

As long as the gabs between the different parts of the mask are not perfectly flat you have to sand it anyway. Smaller parts means less precicion. The 3D-printer prints more akkurate than you can glue the parts together. A bigger Printer would be handy. If you would buy a FDM 3D-printer for example 250 Euro, dollar, whatever, doesn't mean you mask costs rises about 250. You can still use the printer for your next project.

Quote from BritKig: “Well, limiting and isolating that's for sure. Having no social media... fewer means to showcase yourself.” I don't want to be famous so I can live with this. At the first place I Kig for my self and in the second for Kig-o. There is no valid reason for me to go to twitter or any other big platform. I also trust cici more than Twitter...

While VTubers can be more expressive, Kig has the favor that you can actually meet and interact in real life; it's simply different things for different target audiences so comparisons are kinda pointless to begin with, there is no need for worry about it (plus it could start stupid fights between the communities about who is "better", which is chi…

I wanted to add some animatronic functions on my mask but I din´t know how to start. Than I remembered that you can do some rely nice things in blender like camera tracking and motion capture. I did some camera tracking before and wanted to combine kigurumi with 3DCG. My brain: "why not a virtual kigurumi mask and tracking the facial expressions? Oh, whait, that would not be kigurumi anymore. That would be the same what Vtubers do. I should stop!" Virtual Youtubers are popular now and Kigurumi i…

I use 2K filler which I bought in my local hardware store and sanded everyhing and after that I used a filler spray to make it even smother but if you don´t sand it corectly the spray doesn´t make it better. "What kinda stuff did you print the eyes in? It looks kinda glossy" It´s photo paper. I didn´t used my own Printer an paper I used a photo printing automat. 0,30€ per photo. "What kind of foam did you use for the padding?" I don´t know, its purpose was s…

kigurumionline.org/index.php/A…dc7848db7cf20563ad6817d40 I sanded the paint down and removed all the dust with water. On the picture you can see how I glued a third mount with 2K-glue on the mask. The 3 mounts for the elastic bands are made out of steel wire which I bended with rounded pliers. On the picture before you can see the two other mounts. They hold on verry strong. PS. I´m really in love with 2K-glue. It´s the best glue on earth!
