I recently got my first kigurumi mask with pony tails that reach to my waist. Of course like all hair they must be brushed every time I wear the mask to avoid it turning into a knotted mess. Now while I have a wigbrush available, I found it a lot more effective to brush the wig with my fingers, using the same "work your way up" technique you normaly use. My question is: is this bad for the hair? Should I take some preventive messeaures so I don't damage it while I brush it with my fingers. I wou…

Mphf, this actually worked. Although I would recommend adding that if your skinsuit is thight you best pull down the fingers on the sides. I ran into a lot of trouble with that on my first suit up.

    Zero suit kig

Hold up, slow down. First of who do you want to kig, because zero suit is kind of vague. I assume you are talking about zero suit samus? Second you would not be the first to do something like that. All Asuka kigs have a plug suit to go with it and I know karakig has done a zero suit cosplay too. I think they are a neat idea and you could definatly do it.

It is wierd someone even said that, since it is still a hobby. Wether they like it or not, you can do it and there is nothing they can do about it. I'll just add myself to the list: No, kigurumi is for everyone. If you want too, you can have your pet cricket kig! Kigurumi is not limited to one gender and they should be ashamed of themselves for teling you that.

My character was blind luck. I always liked the concept of sirens. Beings that charm other beings using their voice only to lure them to their doom is something I think is awesome. I loved them regardless of interpertation: mermaids, ghosts(pirates of the carribien) or deamons, I loved them all. I was listening to a playlist on youtube. It was mostly dubstep or loud music, but suddenly the song switched to "Under our spell" youtu.be/-_qqkzXOGMs . I loved the song and while watching the video you…

Totally the right move on your part. Saving up for more important stuff first, before saving up for your hobby. I got the same advice a few years back and I am glad I followed the advice.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the feedback. After reading trough your reactions you all made some excellent points that I completly missed. Especially the point that the costume or personal mask modification allows them to use their entry mask and still have a completly unique character is something I am embarrassed about missing myself. Especially considering I have been doing a lot of customization myself in another hobby to make generic items more interesting. That pretty much takes away my co…

Kigurumi mask makers and the kigurumi community have been looking into ways to make creating kigurumi masks cheaper. Now the last year or so there have been serval successful attempts on this field like the Ride the Pig Studio's Pinku, Muni Muni kigurumi masks and now the DAME partial-factory made kigurumi project. ( I will refer to these builds as "entry level masks" because that is what I feel they are supposed to be.) This is certainly amazing and it has been the dream of many of us to produc…

Still paying awesomenauts, I still find the long cue times worth it every day. Its a sort of dota style platformer where you have to destroy turrets and last the base, while preventing the enemy from doing the same to you. The game has a ton of quirky characters, such as a gangster frogg, a alien surfer and ring type child. In that game I main a todller in a fighting robot.

First off, interesting boots to make your point with. Secondly I know a 2 cm difference may not seem much, but it can mean the differnce between heels you see people wear in public and what I like to call "toe crushers" which just look painfull Also I have size 43 eu, so with reasonably large feet like that 9cm is a much smaller angle then for some of the gnomes I have seen walking around.

For me its just two things: I am very fond of how a mask completly hides the person behind it and there is no way to tell who it is behind the mask is without them showing you. I also like boots with heels, these can vary from ankle boots to overknee boots as long as they cover the foot. I am not into the 11cm killer heels I have seen floating around, I prefer the more "day at the office" kind of heels if that makes sense, so about 6-9cm for me. While neither of these directly connect to kigurum…

Quote from jane_taylor: “ And pokemon isn't a real anime?” Well by all definisions it is... I mean its just such a casual widespread one having been dubbed a lot.. So I refered to a anime more unique to Japan after that.

My nickname was specificly chosen for kigurumi. When I signed up at KigurumiCosplaySociety.com I needed a nickname. I decided to write down a bunch of names on paper and see which one I liked best. Some of them where absolutly terrible like senior fluffybunny *shivers* Out of the list I chose mimic because that is just what cosplay is about, mimicing a character. This was my original profile picture: vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/f…/latest?cb=20110813190424 After I while I decided that my profile…

LWell if it counts I listen/watch the songs of my character and dance the pieces they show, and try to fill in the holes with some moves of my own. I also just google pictures to look for poses. Nothing really special. And lets not forget I watch the source material from time to time. And I watch precure kigurumi shows on youtube because if you are going to learn then you might as wel learn from the proffesionals.
