Bringing kigurumi stage shows to the US?

I know that kigurumi isn’t very popular in the US but what if there were some original stage shows to help boost their popularity? As a theater minor how feasible would it be to do one for a local play house using original characters and stories? I’m aware of how much it would cost to make multiple suits as well as coriographing everything. Not to mention getting the performers used to the suits might be an issue as well.

That's interesting idea but I know kigurumi not able talk. Would narrator doing voices fit for kigurumi?

From what I’ve seen the voices are on a prerecorded track with the sound effects and music. Of course live voice acting could be done as well though actors backstage. Some shows do have a narrator that’s not in kig as well.

I've been contemplating this very idea on my own at my university for some time now. (We have a decent theatre department, as well as a number of active filmmaker's clubs on campus that I am involved in.) The kigs-can't-talk issue has stumped me for months. @Buff55 if you can come up with an answer to that, I'd love to know about it.

Also, if you ever get closer to realizing this, please contact me (via Kig-O DM, at least at first), as I'd love to collaborate on this with you. I've dreamed of having a kig club in my state (I live in southeastern Michigan), but I've always thought it was too niche and expensive an idea to have happen. Thanks so much!

@Rui Illuriel Well what they do in Japan is that they have an audio track playing with the voices, music, and sound effects playing as the show goes on leaving the kigs to synchronize their movements to it. Theme parks here do the same thing for their mascots.

Look at these.

Nickelodeon is an American corporation. if they have tapped the Asian market like this, can American stage shows be far behind? They are already doing promo tours to sell the Mattel toys.

These same techniques could be utilized for live theatrical productions
